The funeral of Lok Sabha Speaker Sri. Balayogi were held his home town of Amalapuram. Prime Minister Sri AB Vajpey and his Ministerial team, AICC President Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu, State Cabiner Ministers including Minister for Power Sri Kothapalli Subbaraidu, PCC President Sri M Satyanarayana Rao, CLP Leader Sri YS Rajasekhar Reddy attended the funeral.

Earlier, special security arrangements were made in East and West Godavari, Krishna and Visakhapatnam districts as Prime Minister is expected to participate. Prime Minister was expected to land in a special airplane at the Visakhapatnam Airport.

The District Administration at Visakhapatnam has made all arrangements at the Circuit house in case the Prime Minister wants to halt in Visakhapatnam. The arrangements included a modern communication facility in case of any need. The Official schedule is that he (the PM) will not meet any visitors at the Airport.

12 people died in an explosion in Karimnagar. Chief Minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu visited the spot in the evening and granted exgratia to the families of the dead.
CBCID began questioning few important persons related to the murder case of film actress Ms Praytusha. However the Director of CB-CID refused to tell about the development in the case.
Two persons were killed and five more injured when an LPG Cylinder exploded reportedly because of a leaky connection tube in a dense area in Tirupati.
The police seized a huge amount of explosives from a farm in Cheepurupalli. The list of explosives included three boxes containing 6200 electronic detonators, 132 bags of 50 Kg potassium nitrate and 21 small cartons of mercury colored substance.
One Woman Naxal of the Peoples War Group was killed in an encounter at Govena village in Adilabad district.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam said that it is looking for an alternative to the existing 'Sudarshanam' system. TTD sources said that a leading Software company has comes with two alternatives to the existing system and that these would be more technically feasible and that the cost is also low.
The HongKong Shanghai Banking Corporation said that it will be investing $20 millions in India for the development of software centers. Bar Council of India Chairman, Sri D V Subba Rao, earlier inaugurated Internet banking facilities of the bank in Visakhapatnam.
