The State Assembly that met today paid homage to the Speaker of Lok Sabha Sri GMC Balayogi who died recently in a helicopter crash. The Assembly felt that Sri Balayogi is a dynamic man and can even manage the World Parliament in a very effective manner.
The Body of Sri Balayogi was taken in a special flight from Hyderabad to Rajahmundry. The body will be taken to Amalapuram for public homage via Ravulapalem. Ministers Sri Yenama Ramakrishnudu, Chukkala Ramachandra Rao, Ashok Gajapathi Raju and others were present in the flight.
President Sri KR Narayan, Prime Minister Sri AB Vajpey, former Prime Minister Sri VP Singh, MP's Najma Heptullah, Shabana Ajme, PV Narasimha Rao, Jyothiraditya, Uma Bharathi and others paid homage to Sri Balayogi.
Visakhapatnam Steel Plant reported a turnover of Rs. 3501 Crores for the last 11 months of its operations. The earlier years turn over is at Rs. 3436 Crores.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to name the Yanama-Yedurulanka Bridge which is under construction in East Godavari district on the name of Speaker Sri GMC Balayogi in his memory. Similarly the Stadium under construction at Gachibowli in the outskirts of the Hyderabad City will also be renamed after Sri Balayogi.
The Government declared tomorrow (March 6) as a holiday for all offices in the state in view of the funeral of Sri Balayogi.
Mr. Venkateswara Reddy, an accused in a case in which he mixed poison in drinking water to a dalit area in Mahabubnagar was killed by Dalit members yesterday.
Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu condoled the death of former Governor of West Bengal Mr. K V Raghuantha Reddy.
