Discussion on Power and Irrigation sectors came to Assembly today. Congress MLA Sri Kiran Kumar Reddy suggested that Control of power theft and Standardization of power loss due to transmission were more important and that the farmer need not be hardly hit for getting more money to cover up losses. MIM Leader Sri Asiruddhin Owaisi questioned that why is Transco is in losses despite increase of tariffs.
CLP Leader Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy questioned in Assembly on how the Government will be protecting its lands when Chief Minister announced the withdrawal of 1000 Cases which amounts to Rs. 200 Crores.
BJP and MIM demanded for a discussion in the Assembly on the tension that prevailed in Old City area and about security arrangements in the area.
PCC President Mr. M Satyanaryana Rao said that they will be organizing regional camps to unite Congress members at district level. He said that unity among members is required. The training program will be held during April 6-8, 2002 at Nandigama in Krishna District.
4 people died and 7 were injured in separate accidents in Mahaboobnagar. Two people traveling in an Maruthi Car died when their car was hit by RTC bus while in another incident a Lorry overturned and its driver died on the spot.

Panic prevailed at the Visakhapatnam harbor when a jetty began leaking LPG Gas into the sea waters. The leak began from MT Nagaprabat when it was unloading LPG Gas to HPCL Jetty.
Governor Dr. C Rangarajan switched on the camera or the movie 'Pottisreeramulu'. The Movie is based on the life of freedomfighter Sri Pottisreeramulu who fought for independent Andhra. The Movie is expected to be released on AP Formation Day on November 1,2002.
The Andhra Pradesh Assembly paid homage to former Member Sri Kotha Ramachandra Rao who represented Kollapur Assembly during 1989-94. Two minute silence was observed in his memory.
