Four undertrails escapes from prison

Four under trail prisoners were killed in an encounter when they tried to escape from custody when they were being taken to court in Perecharla mandal of Guntur. The four were Lodati Seenu, Kampa Seenu, Tadigiti Suresh, Macherla Lakshmana Rao were accused in 32 cases.

Ministers Mr. Vijayarama Rao and Mr. Tammineni Sitaram were picked up by the State Government to go for talks with People's War Group.

The City Congress and Youth Congress staged a 'Rasta Rokho' against the hike in Petrol and Diesel prices. They burnt the effigy of Union Petroleum Minister Mr. Ram Naik.

Clashes between Police and CPM members in Vijayawada Janmabhoomi program.

The CID Police said that their investigations in Charminar Bank case reveled that the persons who submitted fake documents at the Bank and took loans to a tune of Rs. 65 Lakhs were residing in Jagityala in Karimnagar. CID Inspector Mr. Premranjan Das was sent to Karimnagar for the Investigation.
