Assembly Session likely from July 15

Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu hinted that the Assembly Sessions will be beginning from the mid of July. He said that it will be during these sessions that the Presidential elections will be held.

Univ of Hyd and AP Forensic Lab to sign MoU

The University of Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory, Hyderabad will be signing up a Memorandum of Understanding on mutual sharing of facilities and capabilities in the fields of research and development.

Congress candidate wins Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Dy Mayor post

Congress Candidate for Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Mr. Venkata Satyanarayana won the election with 30 votes. Telugu Desam members of the Corporation boycotted the election saying the polling system was not fair.

LK Advani was not at level to coment on Indira Gandhi

Senior Congress Leaders Md Jaani and Uppala Sarada said that Home Minister Mr. L K Advani has not yet reached the level of commenting on Former Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi. They said that Congress is serious at LK Advani's statement that 'Indira Gandhi acted as Hitler during Emergency'. They said that the acts of Hitler were visible during the recent Gujarat Violence.

The Second Batch of MLA's from Andhra Pradesh left for foreign trip to study administration in foreign countries. About 61 MLA's left this time to Mumbai from where they will fly to Thailand, China, Malaysia, South Korea and Singapore

Home Minister Sri T Devendar Goud took part in the 6th Batch Passing Out Parade of the Deputy Superindents of Police at the Andhra Pradesh Police Academy in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Police arrested seven people involved in sanctioning of scholarships on bogus names and the list included two Andhra Bank employees one of whom is a Manager of the Bank at Mehadipatnam.
