Names of Naxals removed from Police records

It was joyous time for 1588 Naxals whose names were removed from the Police Records by the Karimnagar District Police. The list also included 200 surpaches while the Naxals were of Janashakti Group.

3 special EPZ's in state for food processings - says Agri Minister

Minister for Agriculture Vadda Sobhanadreswara Rao took part in the 'Bhoomi Pooja' function of an agro food unit at Anandapuram. He said that the Government will be setting up 3 Export Processing Zones specially for Agro-based foods. He said that the same will be set up in Visakhapatnam, Chitoor and Vijayawada.

DSC conducted without hitches - says Dir. of School Education

Commissioner and Director of School Education - Mr. Manmohan Singh said that there were no hitches in the DSC Examination and that about four mistakes in the question papers were found and that the expert committee will look into the issue and give marks to the candidates. He said that more than 4.84 Lakh candidates appeared for the 35,960 posts.

Cigars no more at RTC Stations

Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) said that it has decided to ban the sale of Cigarettes and smoking Bus Stations. New Non-Stop busses were introduced between Visakhapatnam-Gajuwaka - Narsipatnam - Anakapalle and Anakapalle - Visakhapatnam. Speaking on VRS, he said that there is no immediate package though there are over 1600 excess employees with the RTC.

Two contract workers died in a mishap at the 500 MW 7th Unit of the NTPC Power Plant at Ramagundam. The two workers fell down from a height of 33 meters steel structure.
