2 women naxals killed in an encounter

Two women Naxal's of the People's War Group were killed in an encounter between the Naxal and the Police forces at Ulvanur area which comes under Palavancha Police station limits in Khammam. The incident occurred in the morning hours at around 10:15 AM and two 303 rifles and a DBBL gun were recovered. In a related development, the Guntur District Committee Member of the People's War Group - Banka Sammayya and his wife appeared before the Karimnagar SP Mr. Praveen Kumar.

Four Auditors held for manipulating Krushi Bank records

Four Auditors of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies were arrested by the police for manipulating accounts of Krushi Bank. The arrested were sent to judicial remand. The arrested were - K Naveen, Ch Om Prakash, D Narasimha and M Gangadhar.

AP Transco gets new CMD

Rachel Chatterhee took over as the new CMD of AP Transco. Speaking at her taking the seat, she said that her first job is to provide 24 hrs uninterrupted power supply.

Union Minister of State for Rural Urban Development Mr. M Dattatreya said that the Union Government is coming up with a new law that will limit the stamp duty on property to 5 percent.
