Funeral of Sri Chebrolu Hanumaiah held
Senior Congress Leader and Former Minister Sri Chebrolu Hanumaiah was laid to rest today. The funeral was held in Guntur which was attended by senior leader of the party. Minister Sri Kadiyam Srihari, Senior Leader Sri R Sambasivarao and other supporters paid homage to their beloved leader.
CM releases Ernest and Young report on Bio-Technology
Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu said that the Andhra Pradesh Government is committed about the improvement of Bio-Technology industry in the state and said that the Government will help in terms of polices and incentives to companies who come forward. He released the Report on Bio-Technology industry of Ernest & Young. This is the 2nd report of its kind designed by the consultancy company. Speaking at the programme, he said that AP is the best destination and said that the state stands first.
DRDA Project Directors meet on July 5,6, 2002
Minister Sri Venkiah Naidu said that the Polvaram Project will be made possible only with the support of the farmers and that the cost will Rs.10,000 crores and that funds for the same can be raised by bonds.
Speaking at the announcement at Visakhapatnam, Minister Sri Venkiah Naidu said that DRDA Project Directors meet will be held on July 5,6, 2002 in Hyderabad and that the conference will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sri AB Vajpey and will be attended by all District Rural Development Project Directors. The conference primarily discusses on implementation of Rural Schemes. He said that directions have been made to officials to maintain transparency.
The Andhra Pradesh Branch of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce organized video-conference for Indian students who wish to take VISA at the US Consulate in Chennai.
