Labor Minister resigns on moral grounds
Labor Minister Mr. Suddala Devayya gave his resignation letter to the Chief Minister and Party Leader Sri N Chandrababu Naidu on moral grounds for his alleged involvement in a murder case in which the prime suspects said that the Minister has asked to murder a person. The resignation letter was sent to the Governor for approval.
40 injured as roof at BDL collapses
As many as 40 were injured when the roof of Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) in which anchorage of missiles is usually done collapsed in Hyderabad. The admitted were immediately rushed to the nearby hospitals and the condition of 2 is still critical.
TSS and TRS to fight united
The Telangana Sadhana Samithi (TSS) said that it has come to an understanding with Telangana Rasthra Samithi (TRS) for the cause of the Telanagana statehood. As a step towards this, the duo are expected to stage a common candidate for the Medak Assembly elections.
AUCET 2002 Results Announced
Vice Chancellor of Andhra University Prof. YC Simhadri released the results of AUCET 2002 held in June 2002. The results were announced in a record time of just 6 days. The Counseling Sessions for admissions for the tests begins from July 1, 2002 and separate notifications will be issued by the Principals of the respective college. All Counseling's will be held at the Andhra University Campus only. With Vertical admission method in rule at the University, candidates should take up a PG Course in their study stream only. Bio-Technology examination was re-conducted due to technical reasons. There will not be any hike in Tuition fee for various courses this year. Convener of AUCET 2002, Prof. U M Swamy, Co-Convenor Prof. L K Mohan Rao, Rector of the University Prof. KLN Swamy, Registrar MS Prasada Rao and Principals of Affiliated colleges were present at the press meet.
AU Rector asked to look into EdCET episode
Prof. YC Simhadri, Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University and Chairman of EdCET 2002 directed Prof. KLN Swamy, Rector of the University to examine the conduct of the EdCET 2002 examination and submit his report immediately. Speaking at AUCET 2002 Release meet, he said that the examination was conducted smoothly and that there is no reason for reconduction of the exam again.
Government of Andhra Pradesh tied-up with Commerce One to provide networking in all areas of the state. With this networking in place, filing of Tenders, adjustments, work orders etc. will be done online. The MoU papers were exchanged by J Rambabu and Mr. Vivek Agarwal in the presence of Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad Bio-technology Park has tied up with Germany based Hyderburg Bio-technology Park. This will enable Andhra Pradesh to get technical how-to from the German company.
As many as 237 candidates appearing for Advanced Supplementary examinations were booked for malpractices. A total of 385288 students are appearing for the examinations.
