No plans to lift ban on PWG unless Naxals lay down their arms

Minister for Information and Public Relations Mr. S Chandra Mohan Reddy said that the issue of lifting ban on People's War Group is ruled out and that this can be done only if they come out and lay down arms.

Carcass of the dead tigress recovered at Indira Gandhi Zoological Park

The carcass of the dead tigress at the Visakhapatnam Indira Gandhi Zoological Park that was killed by three cubs was recovered. Autospy was conducted and the cremation was held at about 9 AM. According to the autopsy report, the tigress died of asphyxiation as water got into its lungs. Meanwhile, another 30 tigers and lions joined the zoo. These animals were rescued from 'Famous Circus' at West Bengal.

The discussions between the Management and the Union Workers of the Chittivalasa Jute Mill led to the lifting of the lock-out. The lockout situation came earlier on Monday with the Management deciding to reduce relieving time during night in the spinning mill section.
Senior Journalist and Editor of Chatyra, Vipula and other Monthly magazines, Sri Chalasani Prasada Rao died in Hyderabad. He is 63 and is survived with a wife, son and daughter.
