Convergence Bill before Aug 15 - says Union Minister

The eagerly awaited Convergence Bill is expected to be taken to the Parliament before August 15. This was hinted by Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Communication and Information Technology Mr. Pramod Mahajan who was at Hyderabad to participate in 'Indian IT and ITES Strategy Summit' being organized by NASSCOM and McKinsey & Co in Hyderabad. Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu was also at he meet.

A Head Contestable at the Dharmaram Police Station at Karimnagar was held for tampering a murder case and removing the name of the prime accused by taking bribe.

Valuables and cash worth Rs. 25,000 was robbed off an APSRTC bys near Aspari on Pathoikonda-Kurnool highway by a gang of un-identified robberies.

A Free health camp for lorry drivers was organized at Vijayawada. The camp was christened - BP Mela 2002 and will be running for 4-days.

The Board of Intermediate Studies (BIE) said that the Advanced Supplementary Exams for those who failed in the recent Intermediate exam can write the exams starting from June 17. The exams will end on 24. Practical examinations will be from June 23 to 26. As far as Hyderabad is concerned, only one center will be allocated for theory and practical exams.
