Pawan Kalyan releases new Pepsi 1-litre pet Hyderabad, July 19, 2002 In keeping with its innovation initiative, Pepsi today achieved another milestone by launching Pepsi in 1-litre PET packs in Andhra Pradesh. The new pack was launched by reigning Telugu film star and Pepsi's brand ambassador Pawan Kalyan at the Ramoji Film Studio here last evening. The new pack size - which is available at Rs 28/- - would be backed by a multi-media communication package, involving on air as well as on-ground consumer initiatives. Mr. Satendra Aggarwal, Franchise Director, PepsiCo India Holdings Pvt. Ltd., said "Pepsi has already built up a huge brand equity amongst the consumers in Andhra Pradesh. It is the market leader in the orange, apple and clear lemon categories. The introduction of Pepsi 1-litre PET in the state provides our consumers variety and a wider option, while staying true to the taste profile and brand personality of Pepsi." Pepsi Aha - cola with a tinge of lemon - which was launched in Andhra Pradesh recently, has received overwhelming response from consumers in the state. Pepsi had also early this year launched an unprecedented consumer campaign in Andhra Pradesh, providing a great opportunity for fans in the state to collect loads of exciting prizes. As part of the consumer campaign, Pawan Kalyan visuals along with certain numbers are printed on the flip side of the 300-ml Pepsi bottle crowns. All the consumers have to do is to go on collecting these points and exchange exciting prizes such as waist pouches, Pawan Kalyan cassettes and posters, sling bags, denim shirts and of course complementary Pepsi. Pepsi's recent ad campaign featuring Pawan, which was conceptualised by Pepsi's ad agency HTA and shot at Hyderabad by Adarsh Gupta of Mumbai-based "Highlight Films", has also been a tremendous success amongst the consumers.
