NTR TDP asks for relief package for drought hit farmers
The NTR TDP demanded the Centre and State Government to come forward with relief packages to the drought-hit farmers in the state. The NTR TDP met under the chairmanship of N. Lakshmi Parvati in Hyderabad and condoled the demise of Vice President Krishna Kanth and former MP K. Ramachandra Reddy.

Naxalites of PW killed former sarpanch Sheik Peer Saheb of Avulavaripalem village. A few Naxalites went to his house in the late hours at about 11 p.m. and opened fire at him.

Special Packages for World Telugu Conference
Three special tour packages have been announced by the World Telugu Federation which is organizing the fifth World Telugu Conference at Singapore.

Package 1 : A ten-day tour of Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok from December 24 to January 2 at a cost of Rs. 45,500 which included fare both ways and stay.

Package 2 : An eight-day tour of Kuala Lumpur and Singapore at a cost of Rs. 36,300

Package 3 : A five-day trip to Singapore at a cost of Rs. 24,400

The special packages were announced at a preparatory meeting of the conference. The details of the arrangements were announced to by WTF chairman D.V.S. Raju and vice chairman Indra Dutt. The delegate fee on all the packages is Rs. 2700.
