Mr. Vayalar Ravi agrees to ask for Telangana at Center
The Congress Telangana MLA Forum met with the AICC Secretary Mr. Vayalar Ravi and requested to demand the Government for a separate Telangana State. Speaking with the Press, Mr. Ravi defended Dr. YSR's statement that free power will be given when Congress comes to power in the state. Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy submitted a report on the Legislature Affairs in the state to Mr. Ravi. He said that the Congress party has started its plans for next elections in the state.

The Telugu Desam Party criticized Congress for its 'bankruptcy politics' and having no clear cut strategy in various states in which it has its presence. Irrigation Minister Sri Kaidyam Srihari and TDP Spokesman Mr. N Siva Prasad commented at the statements by Mr. Vayalar Ravi as 'false and cheap allegations'.

As a part of the restructuring plan, BJP President Mr. Venkiah Naidu has appointed Senior leader Mr. Arun Jaitley as the Andhra Pradesh to monitor the developments of the state.

Former Naxal of the People's War Group Janashakthi Dalam Mr. D Shankar was killed by about 20 naxals at his house in Karimnagar.

Minister inaugurates Chaitanya Engineering College
Minister for Finance, Mr. Yenamala Ramakrishnudu said that the Government is committed for education at all levels by 2005. He spoke at the inauguration function of the Chaitanya Engineering College at Kommadi in Visakhapatnam.
