4 top-Naxals killed in an encounter at Karimnagar
Four Naxals of the People's War Group were killed in an encounter between the Naxals and the Police forces in the city outskirts of Karimnagar near Nerella. Padmakka, Rajitha, Sagar and two body guards were killed in the incident. A Special police party headed by the SI's of Dharmapuri and Sarangapur have gone to Nerella to organize a grama sabha and were suspicious of Naxals in the area and began combing operations. Firing between the two was held for about 25 minutes where naxalas were hiding behind a hillock.

Elections in Medak ends peacefully
The elections in Medak for the Medak Assembly constituency ended up peacefully without any violence. Work was completed with ease with the introduction of Electronic Voting Machines. About 68% attended the polls and casted their voted.

e-Court for AP soon - says Chief Justice
Chief Justice of Supreme Court Justice BN Kirpal said that Andhra Pradesh needs e-Court facility and that video-conferencing and email systems should be allowed to file cases. He visited Araku valley in Visakhapatnam to attend to a meeting.

Clashes between farmers and police Clashes rose between Sericulture Farmers and the police forces when the police tried to disperse the farmers who were organizing rail rokho programme at Hindupur. The farmers switched to stone pelling while the later gave work to their lathis. Three Sub-Inspectors and three-leaders of Rythu Sangham were injured in the incident.

Supporters of the Telugu Desam Party and Telangana Rasthra Samithi joined the Congress in Adilabad. The list included a sarpanch Ch. Nago Rao and upa-sarpanch Lakshman of Talamadri.
