APBEF releases list of loan defaulters
Andhra Pradesh Bank Employees Federation released a list of defaulters who have to pay over Rs. 1 Crore of loans each. Infact, the list included as many as 1020 business establishments and personnel who intentionally have not repaid the loans back. The Federation spokesman Mr. Mohan Reddy asked the Central Government to immediately look into the issue and bring about a rule for intentional defaulters since this has been becoming 'day light robbery'. A total of over Rs. 4700 crores was pending from such defaulters. The Federation also demanded for treating such crimes as Criminal Offence and change related laws.

Youth Congress staged a dharna at the Police Station in Srikalahasti demanding for an enquiry into the recent seize of bombs and other ammunition of Bojjala relative Mr. Papireddy.

Dr. YSR returns from his foreign trip
CLP Leader Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy returned back to Hyderabad after completing his foreign trip. He met and interacted with Americans in various walks of lives including NRI's particularly from Andhra Pradesh. He said that America has good technology and agriculture-know how which we have to learn. He said that he will meet Government and non-Governmental officials to see that modern agriculture practices were used.

AITUC said that it will go on strike starting July 25 if the Government does not look into its problems in the Singareni Colleries. Their demand list includes introduction of new mines, waiver of power less in houses that consume less than 30 units.
