PWG demands for an apology
Peoples War Group demanded apologies from the Government for the recent encounter and asked for an immediate stop at combing operations. They gave a list of 14 personalities who can monitor and discuss on various issues between the two.

All set for Medak Assembly elections
Election commission said that all arrangements for tomorrow's assembly elections at Medak were completed and that police forces are deployed to see that the elections takes place safely. About 1.75 Lakh voters are expected to cast their vote. Electronic Voting Machines are in place and the election will be conducted between 8 AM - 5 PM.

Lawyers may be allowed to file cases by email
Chief Justice of Supreme Court Justice BN Kirpal visited Nalsar Law University at Shamirpet in Hyderabad. He was accompanied by Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu and Chief Justice of High Court Justice AR Lakshmanan. Speaking at the meet, he said that lawyer, in the near future, will be allowed to file court cases by email and that e-Court system will be introduced which will ease the process of court proceedings and decrease the time spent on various cases at courts. Mr. Lakshmanan said that trend towards law from academics was decreasing and that curriculums have to be developed to meet the recent demands.

Municipal Commissioner makes surprise visit
Municipal Commissioner Mr. Teegala Krishna Reddy made a surprise visit to Secunderabad Municipal Corporation and monitored files and registers. He said that development works form the tax paying areas have to be concentrated. He said that Traffic system has to streamlined and that the proposal of Lakidikapull - Patancheruvu Flyover project is completed.

Agri Minister asks farmers to be careful when picking seeds
Government of Andhra Pradesh clarified that the Government is ready with fine varieties of seeds for the upcoming Kharif season. Speaking at a press meet, Agriculture Minister Sri Vadde Sobhanadreswara Rao alerted the farmers to pick fine varieties of seeds and said that Grade A variety of rice was more preferred than the usual paddy variety.

Ministers of the Cabinet met today to discuss on tenure of Water Committees in the state and on new laws to be brought in force under Endowments Department. The meeting was presided by Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu and was attended by Home Minister Sri Devandar Gowd, Sri Pocharam Srinuvasa Rao and others. Hyderabad police arrested Habib Abbas and his group.

Governor Dr. Rangarajan inaugurated Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital in Hyderabad.
