CPI stages dharna against power tariff hike
CPI staged a dharna and rallied in Hyderabad against the anti-people reforms of the State Government. Sri Raghavulu said that Telugu Desam Party was in this plan even before the elections of the Municipalities and that it made AP Transco to release its schedule only after the elections. C Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy said that it is wrong on the Govt. to increase the power tariffs even in Telangana.

NIMS Resident Doctors continued their strike even for the 12th day today. Medico students also expressed their support to the strike since the Government was increasing the fee structure every year. Meanwhile, Minister N Jaganardhan said that it is illegal that the doctors were on strike and that the Government was taking alternative arrangements to see that health services in the hospital were not being hindered.

Rangareddy Police have arrested a gang involved in Inter-state dacoits and recovered Rs. 3 Lakhs worth jewelry. The police arrested 3 members of the gang and based on the finger prints analysis, more crimes committed by them were identified.

Karimnagar Congress to fight against power hike
Karimnagar Congress MLA's demanded for the Government's withdrawal of power tariff hikes and that the Chief Minister himself has made a statements in the recent election campaign that the Government will not increase power prices and that when the outcome of the elections was in their favor, has immediately decided to hike the tariff and thereby fooled the people. The MLA's said that they will fight against any move towards power-hike here after.

Discussion on Child Adoption Act held
Minister Sri Ashoka Gajapathi Raju, Sri Pocharam Srinuvasa Rao, Smt S Saraswathi took part in a discussion on Child Adoption Act held at Hyderabad. Legal experts and social welfare volunteers took part and expressed their views.

Seven people were killed in a road mishap in karimnagar when a jeep hit a lorry which was coming from the oppostite direction. According to the reports, the jeep was coming from jagrial to dharmapuri. The condition of the injured was stated to be critical.

The police detected and unearthed three landmines on the Peddavalasa-Turumamidi road of the Chintapalli area of Visakhapatnam district. According to the Supterintendent of Police, Mr. Anil Singh, it was a plot by the naxalites to blow up the vehicles of VIP's who were likely to take the route during the Janmabhoomi Programme.

The members of the People's War Group surrendered before the Warangal range DIG Mr. D Gautam Sawang. The DIG said the surrendered naxalites were Nainagari Ravi alias Murali, Indervelli alias Sujatha, who was working as Sirpur and Chennur area committee secretary of PWG.
