Naxals agrees for Talks
Naxals of the Peoples War Group gave a green signal to hold unconditional talks with the Government. They however, asked the Police to stop their encounters for a couple of months and create an environment for the talks.

CM and Home Minister campaigns in twin cities
TDP Party President Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu campaigned in the twin cities today. He said that his party is not against Muslims or any other minority community but was against MIM. He said that the TDP Party was successful in maintaining harmony in the twin cities and that peace will always be preserved in the area. He began his campaign at 3 PM and addressed Muslim gatherings in Urdu.

CLP accuses TDP for promoting crimal background candidates
CLP Leader Mr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy said that it was the TDP Party that is promoting the candidates with criminal backgrounds in politics. He remained that the cabinet already has 2 such candidates and that Karanam Balram was made Ongole MP. He campaigned in Tirupati. He restated that the Congress will withdraw from the elections if TDP can promise that it will not hike power tariffs.

Senior Congress Leader Mr. P Janardhan Reddy campaigned in Khairatabad in support to the Congress Mayor Candidate for MCH Mr. D Nagender. He commented that the new TDP Government has increased the cost of power, RTC charges and the like and that it was not at all keeping in mind of the poor.

Telangana Rastra Samithi also campaigned in Hyderabad in support to its candidate. TRS President Mr. Chandrasekhara Rao commented that no good is done for the poor. He questioned what was done with the Hi-tech Governance and that unemployed, farmers have their own problems which were unaddressed.

Commissioner of Police Mr. P Ramulu said that this years MCH elections will be held with the help of Scanner and Computer technology which can store and verify thumb impressions. This technology will help Election authorities to keep a hold on cheaters. It may be recalled that this technology was already been implemented in recent elections in Guntur.

Star TV transmissions to come to a halt
Coastal Andhra Multi System Operators Association said that they will be stopping broadcast of Star TV and its pay channels through Cable TV. The Association decided this in Vijayawada.

A Collection of lectures of former RBI Governor Mr. M Narasimham was now available in a book entitled - 'Economic Reforms : Development and Finance'. The book was released by RBI Governor Mr. Bimal Jalam in Hyderabad. The book was published by UBS Publishers.

Demolition of Babri Masjid - an unconstitutional act - says Agriculture Minister
Agriculture Minister Mr. Vadde Sobhanadreswara Rao said that the demolition of Babri Masjid is an 'unconstitutional act'. He spoke at the three day meetings that were held at Bhavanipuram in Vijayawada. He also took a copy of the Holy Quran from Jamaat-e-Islami Hind President, Mr. Moulana Mahammed Siraju Hasan.

Ms. Sena took the crown as Ms. India Universe, Miss Sruthi was the new Miss India World while Miss Reshma took crown as the new Miss India Earth in a program held at Hyderabad.
