CM orders CID probe into Charminar Bank case
CM orders CID probe into Charminar Bank case
Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu ordered into CID probe into the Charminar Bank affair. He said that about 124 big loans worth Rs. 181 crores are there against low valued land. The Charminar Bank will remain closed till further orders.

TDP-BJP candidate becomes Dy Mayor of Hyderabad
The Telugu Desam Party and the Bharateeya Janatha Party alliance candidate Mr. Subash Chanderji was elected Deputy Mayor of Hyderabad. He won the election with just two votes against the rival candidate of MIM-Congress Mr. Abdul Rehman Khan.

The Opposition parties blamed the Government for the status of the Co-Operative Banks in the state. CLP Leader Sri Y S Rajasekhar Reddy said that despite a year of investigation by the CID, the whereabouts of Chairman of Krushi Bank were not yet known.

Murder Case registed in Pratyusha suspicious death
The Panjagutta Police register a murder case into the suspicious death of film actress Ms. Pratyusha. Meanwhile, her lover Mr. Siddarth Reddy continued to be in critical condition at the CARE Hospitals, Hyderabad. Experts at the Forensic Laboratories cited her death as 'asphxia due to manual strangulation'.
