TDPP to maintain its old strategy
TDPP to maintain its old strategy
The Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party met today morning at the Party headquarters in Hyderabad. The meeting was presided by TDP Party leader Sri N Chandrababu Naidu. The meet decided to maintain its stand and not to make existing problems complicated. It also decided to fully agree with the decision of the Supreme Court rulings. It also decided to force the center to give a green signal to various pending projects in the state. The Party also requested the opposition to solve major concerns by mutual discussions and not waste the time of the session.

All-Party meeting on World Bank fund utlisation held
Government has held an All-Party in regard to whether loans from World Bank is beneficial or not. The meeting was attended by Congress, MIM, CPM, CPI and others.

Permanent VC for AU by the end of the month
In-charge Vice Chancellor of Andhra University Sri. Sudheer said that new Vice-Chancellor will be selected at the end of the month. He said that the State Government is imparting special training to teaching staff who will be providing quality educational services. He said that a new pilot project was started to impart technology among students. Registrar Prof. J M Naidu was also present at the press meet.

Film Actress Pratusha commits suicide
Film Actress Pratyusha died after she committed suicide last night. She and her boy friend were admitted in CARE Hospital last night. She died within few minutes of joining while her boy friend was struggling for life. Unofficial sources says the her boy friends parents did not agree for their marriage. Panjagutta Police registered a case and were investigating.

The Police recovered Six Panchaloha idols worth Rs. one crore at the Railway Station in Khammam. Addressing a news conference, SP Mr. VV Srinivasa Rao said that the idols were stolen from a temple in Nellikuduru in Warangal district and another temple in Maddirala village in Nalgonda district last week. Doguntla Srinivas who was involved in the possession of all idols has been taken into custody while police are on the lookout for another member of the gang.

The Superintendent of Police, Mr. Abhilasha Bisht, has ordered the suspension of two constables for knocking away some stolen slk sarees after conducting a fake raid with the nexus of a local rowdy gang. The constables Noor Basha and Ramana of Rayachoti police station were booked under Sections 409 and 411 of IPC.

The AICC secretary, V Hanumantha Rao hailed the success of the party in the recent elections in Punjab and Uttaranchal. He said that the results showed that people are in favour of the leadership of Sonia Gandhi.

The South Central Railway is running 242 special trains this summer to clear the extra rush during the summer season.
