Govt. to hold talks with Naxals - Action plan in 10 days
The Government of Andhra Pradesh decided to hold talks with the Peoples War Group Naxals to bring about a possible solution to the problem of Terrorism in the area. The Government has held an All-Party meeting today at Secretariat today in which members from Congress, BJP, TRS, CPI and its Left Parties and TDP participated. MIM asked the Government to withdraw the ban on the group before taking with them.

Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu who presided at the meeting said that the Government will hold a meeting about the issue with its proposal in about 10 days time. CPI(M) Secretary Sri BV Raghavulu said that both PWG and Government has to think over and bring a positive solution in the interest of the Telangana people. Lal Jaan Basha of TDP said that TDP Government is firm on the decision to make sure that peaceful atmosphere is maintained in the state.

Goods Train derails - Rail Traffic diverted
A Goods Train derailed at Bitagunda last night. With this many Express trains including the GT Express, Bilaspur Express, Tamil Nadu Express, Visakha-Tirumala Express, Charminar Express were either moving with a delay. APSRTC has made arrangments to provide additional busses in the segment.

Andhra Pradesh Governor Sri Ranga Rajan was given additional charges as the Governor of Kerala. It may be recalled Sri Ranga Rajan held the additional duties earlier as the Governor of Tamil Nadu before it got a permanent Governor.

The Ore Handling Complex of the Visakhapatnam Port has set a new record by tipping of iron ore rakes. The work was completed in 8 ½ hrs and was the best performance since 1965.

Tirmala Tirupati Devasthanam said that it will be making it mandatory to have the Sudarshan Darshan Token to take the Darshan of the Lord. This wrist-band token system, introduced two years ago, which has a bar code on the band allowed TTD authorities to determine at what possible time can a devotee take the Darshan of the Lord.
