Rs. 110 Crores for welfare of disabled
Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu said that the Government will be allocating Rs 110 Crores for the welfare of the disabled. He said that the Government is making all arrangements to fill over 1000 posts that were pending in various Government Departments in the state.

A Seminar at the Engineering Staff College in Hyderabad felt that Inter-state water disputes can only be resolved with discussions. The seminar also felt the need for institution of a River Basin Authority.

Mr. Ghos Dastidar took over as the new DGM of South Central Railways. Mr. Ghosh belongs to the 1969 Railway Traffic Service.

A couple in Visakhapatnam died committing suicide after they were tested to be positive to AIDS. It is believed that mental tensions were the reason for the suicide.
