Telangana Garjana to be held on January 6, 2003 The Telangana Rastra Samithi will organise a public meeting - Telangana Garjana at the Parade grounds in Hyderabad. Addressing a Press conference, the TRS president Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that they are organising the meeting demanding Krishna and Godavari waters for the development of Telangana. He said that Telangana Garjana will be organised on January 6 and that they got the permission of the defence ministry. Veteran Telugu Actors Kantha Rao and Allu Ramalingayya have been recommended for the Raghupathi Venkayya Lifetime Achievement awards for the years 200 and 2001. The Joint Managing Director of APTRANSCO Mr. Dinesh Kumar said that an investment of about Rs. 75 crores is propped to be made on information technology initiatives by APTRANSCO and DISCOMs for better control and for customer satisfaction. Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu assured Muslims of compete protection from communal violence. Speaking on the Valedictory function of the two day Annual Convention of the American Federation of Muslims of Indian Origin, he said that the fundamental duty of any Government is to protect its citizens and to create conditions of peace and prosperity. Mr. Naidu was presented AFMI's "Pride of India" award consisting of a crow and a plaque.
