National Railway Vikas Yojana inaugurated The National Railway Vikas Yojana is being inaugurated by the Prime Minister Mr. A.B. Vajpayee through an uplink from his residence in Delhi. He unveiled a plaque put up near Vontimitta railway station and commencement of work through a satellite link. The inauguration was telecast live on a plasma screen and television sets put up at inaugural site. Rajampet MP G. Ramaiah, Rajampet MLA P. Brahmaiah, Cuddapah MLA S.A. Khaleel Basha and others witnessed the inaugural function. Popular television star Achyuth died of massive heart-attack Popular television and film atiste, Achyuth died on morning of massive heart attack. He was 41 years and survived by his wife and two children. Achyuth complained of chest pain in the morning and was taken to the hospital. He was declared dead at 1.45 p.m. despite efforts of doctors. The body was kept at Ramanaidu Kalyana Mandapam at the A.P. Film Chamber of Commerce. The Chief Minister Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief at the sudden death of Achyuth. He conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved. The Cabined has approved for the mid-day meal scheme all over the state barring Hyderabad on January 2. The Cabinet also decided to raise the rate from the existing Rs. 1.25 per student and also decided to begin the 18th round of Janmabhoomi from January 2.
