Government orders CID probe into rail mishap
The Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu said that he ordered the CID to investigate the tragedy involving the Kacheguda-Bangalore express near Pendekal in Kurnool district. He said that the Government would not rush to a conclusions about the causes of rail mishap. Speaking to the reporters, he said that the train derailed due to tampering of track.

State’s first Cyber Crime police station opened
The Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the State’s first Cyber Police Station in Hyderabad. He asked the police officers to give wide publicity to this new wing. An officer of the rank of Additional SP will be in-charge of the new police station. Two DSP’s, four inspectors, six sub-inspectors and IT experts would be the other staff members. This new police station would deal with all congnisable offences under the Information Technology.

CPI demands Judiciary Inquiry
The CPI has demanded the institution of a judiciary inquiry to determine the causes of the rail mishap involving the Kacheguda-Bangalore express. K. Ramakrishna, member of party’s CPI State committee said that it was a well-known fact that politicians and factionists have collected crores of rupees by intervening in the tenders for laying the railway line near Pendekal.

CLP Leader Mr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu is duping people with false promises. Addressing the district NSUI Mahasabha at kalaskhetram in Cuddapah, he said that the policy of Mr. Naidu is merely to follow the directions of World Bank. He also said that the Government failed to keep its promise of waiving the fees of students.

Araku Utsav Postponed
The Araku Utsav in Visakhapatnam district has been postponed to mid-January. The Utsav was postponed following the busy schedule of the Chief Minister and some of the Ministers going to Singapore to attend the World Telugu Conference. The Collector of Visakhapatnam Mr. Sunil Sharma said that the dates have to be reworked keeping in view of the examinations of students and it had to be put off following National Games dates following close to the usual December schedule.
