Farmers arrested for agitating for Raiwada Reservoir Farmers staged an agitation demanding release of water for their fields from the Raiwada Reservoir. 2 Farmers and 2 policemen were severely injured in the clashes. The Police arrested 22 people including ZP Chairman Kanthamma and Former MP, PCC Correspondent Mr. Konathala Ramakrishna. Congress Legislature Party Leader Mr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy said that it is very unfortunate police opening firing on the farmers and leaders who were agitating peacefully. He demanded the police to withdraw the cases filed against Konathala Ramakrishna, Kanthamma and other farmers. C.V. Ramulu, R. Subash Reddy, B. Sheshasayana Reddy and K.C. Bhanu took oath as the Judges of the High Court. Judges, Lawyers and others took part on the occasion held at the First Court hall. The Panchayat Raj Department has started the Pilot Project in the process of computerisation of Gram Panchayar Records. The 'Pilot Computer Citizen Centre' has been started in Ramachandrapuram of Medak district. The Citizen centre provides Dial-up Internet connections. Seela Veerraju has been selected for the Ravi Sastri Memorial Award 2001.
