Birla Tyres Customers' Meet held - Two new products launched
Hyderabad, August 28, 2002 The Customers Meet of Birla Tyres, the youngest tyre manufacturer in the country held here in Hyderabad yesterday till mid night. The marathon customers meet of four hours enabled lot of customers to solve their problems, educate themselves about tyre management. It also strengthened the bond between customers and the company. A subsidiary of Rs 20,000 crore, B.K. Birla Group of companies, the Birla Tyres organised its first Customers Meet in the city. The meeting targeted at Kukatpally area transport operators, was attended by over 90 customers. The meet which held at 6.30pm at Hotel Swagat and continued till late night dealt in customers complaints of truck and car tyres. There was a slide show on tyres. Mr. R. Surender, Regional Service Engineer for South, Mr. B. Narshing Rao, Regional Manager for A.P, Mr. S.P. Shetty, Senior Sercie Engineer from Birla Tyres Bangalore and Hyderabad talked on various customer related issues such as how to enhance tyre performance, tips on tyre maintenance, right load application of tyre, how to get maximum performance out of the tyre etc. Mr. Bhawarlal Jain, former President of Hyderabad Tyre Dealers Association, Mr. Praveen Jain of Sushil Tyres was also present on the occasion. Two New products '1000X20 Tyre -- Road Miler and 'Bison P---18 PR Tyre' were launched. These two products were launched in a novel way by its customers Mr. Suresh of Mahalakshmi Transport; Mr. Subba Rao of SR Transport. The balloon burst to mark the launch f these two products was the highlight of the customers meet. To mark the occasion, Birla Tyres has offered warranty upto 50 per stone cut guarantee on Bison P. According to Mr. B. Narsing Rao, Regional Manager of Birla Tyres two new products meant for back fitment will be launched on the occasion. Informing about the meet, Mr. Rao said, the potential of Hyderabad market for truck tyres is 7500, car tyres 8500 and radial tyres 6000 per month. Hyderabad being the second biggest market for truck tyres, customer education is crucial to get the maximum performance out of each tyre purchased. Hence, Birla Tyres has planned series of customer meets in the city in near future. |
