CM takes part in Chanduvula Panduga in Vizianagaram Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu took part in the Chaduvula Panduga program in Jammupet in Vizianagaram. He said that Poverty rate is increasing as population is increasing and that this is evident that these areas have very poor literacy rates. He asked the parents to send their children to school. He said that the State Government is committed to effectively fight against drought. A Team of IAS Officers who were a part of 15-days Bharath Darshan program touring the country visited Hyderabad today. The program began at Goa and concluded at Hyderabad. They appreciated the efforts of the Government about the E-Governance and Janmabhoomi programs. CM inaugurates Submarine Museum Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Submarine Museum in Visakhapatnam today. INS Kursura - a submarine which served the nation was turned into a museum in a joint effort by Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation and the Indian Navy. Speaking at the program, CM promised to improve beach shore between Vizag-Bheemunipatnam. CPM members visits drought hit areas Members of the CPM visited various areas in the drought hit districts including Ibramhim Patnam of Rangareddy district. Mr. Nomula Narasimmayya visited the area and observed the dry crop despite the rains began. They also burnt the effigy of the World Bank. 1 person was killed in an encounter in Anantapur district. The person was identified as having links with many naxal activities. Members of the All India Students Federation staged a dharna in Vijayawada demanding the Government to give a refund or waive fees to school going children in drought hit areas. They later gave a requisition letter to Sub-Collector. Members of the ABVP protested by tying black bands across their mounts as a mark of policies by the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University.
