Medal stars warmly welcomed at home
Ms. Poojari Sailaja and Ms. N Lakshmi returned home after winning the medals in the Commonwealth Games. They were felicitated by Governor and Chief Minister. Governor told that it will stand as a mark in the history. The Government announced cash awards worth 10 lakhs for a Gold Medal and 7.5 lakhs for a Silver medal for Sailaja and Lakshmi. Sailaja who won 3 Gold Medals in Weightlifting and Lakshmi who won 3 Silver medals had a grand reception in the airport.

PCC asks for removal of Power Minister
PCC Spokesman Sri K Rosayya demanded the suspension of Minister Mr. K Subbaraidu who asked officers to leave a lorry of load being held by the Police when it was taking rice bags allocated for Food for Work program.
