Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu said that a project worth Rs. 20 Crore was undertaken christened as Chaduvula Pandaga at the Rayadurga village near the state capital. He said that effort has to be put upon to rejoin the children who discontinued their studies in between and that this is possible by Teachers alone. Minister Sri K Vidyasagar Rao also present in the meet.

Minister Sri Tummala Nageswara Rao took part in the Chaduvula Pandaga program and inaugurated a Junior college in Khammam district. He said that the State Government is giving prime importance to Education.

Center to release funds for Drought-hit areas after report

Minister for Railway Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya said that the Prime Minister Mr. A.B. Vajpay has promised to help the drought-hit areas of the state when he receives the report from the State. Speaking at a press meet in Hyderabad, the Minister said that though the rainfall in the past 2 days are encouraging, the farmers are in a dilemma on which crops to go with.

Akkanna Maadanna Temple Bonalu Festival celebrated

All Districts in the state celebrated Bonala Festival today. Special prayers were offered at the Akkanna-Madanna Temple by Minister Sri Bandraru Dattatreya, PCC President Sri P Satyanarayana Rao and others.


Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Chairman Mr. T Chalapathi Rao said that the TTD is going to construct a new Dharmasala in Tirumala for the benefit of visitors. He said that the ambitious project will cost Rs. 20 Crores.

Sri N R Nandi is dead
Noted Writer, Dramatist and Novelist Sri N R Nandi died at his home in Hyderabad. He is 69 and is survived with 3 daughters and a son. Sri Nandi was born in 1933 in Rajahmundry and entered into literary field in 1948. He wrote over 200 stories and 25 novels many of which were translated to 19 languages. His became a popular figure in Telugu Literature with his 'Maro Mohanjadaro'.

Andhra Star Wrestler Ms. Sailaja won as many as 3 Gold medals in the 75-kg category at Manchester 2002. Governor of Andhra Pradesh Dr Rangarajan, Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu congratulated her on her success.
