BSNL to introduce Cellular and WiLL services soon
Chairman and Managing Director of BSNL, Mr. Prithipal Singh said that the Corporation is getting ready to launch its Cellular services in over 1000 cities by next month. He said that equipment for 5 Lakh WiLL phones was already ordered and that another 2.5 Lakhs will be ordered soon. He said that Answering Machine Service (AMS) will be provided as a free service to its customers and that the website bsnl.co.in will be converted into a public utility portal.

Mr. D.K. Singh appointed CMD in-charge of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant
Mr. D. K. Singh has been appointed as the CMD in-charge of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited - Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Mr. D. K. Singh is the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the Bhilai Steel Plant. He has been made in-charge following the resignation of B.N. Singh till a full time CMD is appointed for Visakhapatnam.

Idea Cellular ties up with Hutch and BPL to offer low roaming air-time rates
Idea Cellular announced a tie-up with Hutch and BPL to offer the subscribers a reduced roaming airtime rates of Rs. 1.49 per minute. According to a press release, the reduced roaming airtimes will benefit Idea subscribers in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh states.

A Rally was taken out by the students, teachers, DWCRA group members and other representatives in Bellampalli town of Adilabad. The Rally began at Bellampalli football grounds and went round the town.

Senior Congress Leader Mr. Dadi Muddu Krishnama Naidu demanded for a valuation of Government property. He said that the property should be assessed first before any transactions are made.

Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu issued a warning to those who uses Child Labour. He asked people to come forward and join their children in Government schools. He spoke in Khammam at the Chaduvula Panduga. Minister Sri Tummala Nageswara was also present at the meet.

Congress Leader Smt Geeta Reddy announced the new Women Committee of that party. She said elections are yet to start in Khammam, Karimnagar and Vijaywada.

Traffic came to a stall at some places in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad as water from rains that fell today blocked the traffic. 2 cm rainfall was recorded in the twin cities today.
