Tungabhadra river water for Anantapur
The Government of Andhra Pradesh decided to allow Tungabhadra river water to the Irrigation fields in Anantapur. The Irrigation advisory board met today and decided to allow water from tomorrow. The City Leaders accused the Revenue officials and Police for not allowing them to the meet. Minister Srihari said that though the level of water is low in the Tungabhadra Reservoir, they are considering this as a special case.

Left Parties stages dharna
The CPM, CPI, MCPI parties staged a dharna in Warangal. They said that Foodgrains in the "Food-for-Work" programme is wasted in many parts of the state. The Parties staged a dharna in Kurnool aswell. They demanded that those Ministers responsible in the Scandal are to be be suspended immediately and demanded CBI Investigation in the scandal.

CM worships at Tirumala
Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu offered prayers tin the hill shrine of Tirumala. The Chief Minister took part in the marriage of cine-actress Roja with director Selvamani and gave his blessings. The Chief Minister said that the Government will work for making Tirupati as "Temple City". He gave examples of Kalahasti and other temples which are generating good revenue.

Congress asks Govt. to resume talks with Naxals
The Congress requested the Government to start Discussions with Naxals. Pradesh Congress Committee said that the though the Government is taking loans from the World Bank, they are imposing heavy taxes on people. Speaking at the meeting, it is the duty of the Government to help people. He said that no problems can be solved by the Naxals with weapons. Instead, the naxals should work for the development of society in a peaceful way.

The DGP of Police Mr. P Ramulu said that Identification Cards similar to those of American Army will be provided soon to the Police. He said that they took help of Catch Call Biometric Technology Ltd. Speaking to the press, he said that the identification cards works not only on Identification Machines but also has Finger Prints embedded on it which can't be erased by any means. DGP Mr. P Ramulu said that it would be very helpful to all and is very important considering Security.

The High Court Division Bench gave a Judgment stating that Tasleema Morak can stay for another 4 weeks in the country. It is already known that she filed against Government to extend her VISA for another 2 years.

A National Seminar was organised in the KITS Engineering College of Warangal. Topics like ISO 9000 Quality Certifications and other topics are discussed. Students and Professors took part in the seminar.

The Congress Legislature Party demanded the immediate suspension of Power Minister Mr. K Subbarayudu who is involved in the "Food for Work" Scandal. They also demanded a inquiry by CBI or by a High Court Judge.

The Congress Legislature Party Mr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy met Governor Sri Rangarajan and submitted plea to suspend Minister Mr. K Subbarayudu on the basis of Collector report.

The Youth Congress met Governor Sri Rangarajan and submitted their plea. Youth Congress President Venkata Rao alleged that Union Minister Mr. Venkaiah Naidu took lands that are to be allocated to lower castes in the society and allocated them under his relatives names.

Former Congress MLA Sri P Krishna Rao died at Aloor Village in Ranga Reddy District. Sri Krishna Rao represented the Chevella Assembly constituency.
