Youth Congress leaders arrested in Hyderabad
Many Congress members including Leaders of Youth Congress have been arrested in Hyderabad when they staged a rastha rokho. Congress party in Karimnagar also staged a rastha rokho against the arrest Youth Congress members.

Former MLA escapes from bomb blasts
Former MLA from Proddatur - Mr. M V Ramana Reddy had a narrow escape when he was attacked with bombs in Cuddapah. Two bombs fell near the door of his Honda City car while another fell on top of the car. The driver of the car increased the speed of the car and held the MLA to escape from any further attacks. It was believed the his assailants would be the cause behind the attack.

A Rally was held in Tenali demanding the Government to look into the various problems of Dalit women in the state.

TTD EO Sri Krishnayya said that the piligrims who visit Tirumala have to come in traditional dresses only. He said that all arrangements for Pavithrotsavams were completed and that Kalyanotsavam was postponed for a later date. Meanwhile, an enquiry was called upon by the EO into the recent finding of a box of crackers in the hudi of Lord Sri Venkateswara. The Chief Security Officer of the Temple Mr. KRM Kishore Kumar was asked to submit a report after investigation within 48 hours.

District Collector of Srikakulam Mr. K Vijayanand called upon the district administration to plant 3-crore saplings as a mark of the 'Clean and Green' program.

Sri Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy remembered
The Birth Anniversary of Former Chief Minister and Senior Congress Leader Sri Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy was observed by the State Congress. APCC President Sri M Satyanarayana Rao, CLP Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy and other garlanded to the potrair of Sri Bhaskara Rao at Gandhi Bhawan.

Former Chairman of Allwyn Company Mr. Atluri Venkateswara Rao died in Hyderabad. He is 75 and is survived with a wife and two sons.
