Congress stages dharna over AP Transco taking extra charges
Supporters of Congress staged an agitation raising slogans against AP Transco for taking additional charges on the name of streamlining additional loads at the Transco SE Office Tirupati.

CPM also staged a rally and raised slogans on the same issue at Superintendent Office in Vijayawada. They argued that AP Transco is taking additional deposits.

8 persons dies of electrocution
8 persons died of electrocution as a live wire fell over near a folk festival in Nellimanda village in Tirupati. 10 more people who were injured were rushed to the nearest hospital.

Meanwhile, a 12-years boy died of electric shock when a electric wire fell on him in Hyderabad.

A person Mr. Laxmayya was killed at his home in the early hours of the day in Warangal by his rival group. Other members of his family were injured.

Staff members of the 100-year old Mission Hospital in Warangal staged a dharna asking to save the assets of the hospital and asked for payment of salaries immediately.

Minister Sri Ch Ayyannapatrudu inaugurated a workshop on Water Management in Visakhapatnam. He said that Government has been spending Rs. 700 crores under various water projects in the state.

Pradesh Congress Party President Mr. M Satyanarayana Rao rejected the offer of TRS to join hands in regard to the fight for separate Telangana. He said that Congress is committed at the development of the Telangana and need not be told on strategies or politics in the issue.

Two Naxals of the People's War Group surrendered before the Medak SP Mr. Shikha Goel in Sangareddy.
