TRS and TSS announces their merger
The TRS and TSS parties have officially announced about the merger of their parties. Speaking on the program, TRS President Mr. Chandra Sekhar Rao said that the decision was taken as both the parties were working for a common cause - statehood for Telangana. Mr. Rao said that the promises and words of Congress on Telangana issue cannot be believed. He expressed confidence in TRS to win 2004 Assembly Elections with its own strength. Founder President of Telangana Sadhana Samithi, Mr. A. Narendra said that Telangana was one region and one caste.

Chaduvula Panduga ends
The 10 Day "Chaduvula Panduga" Program ended today. After touring 9 days around the state, Chief Minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu was back in Hyderabad and spoke with the Press. He said that the Government will formulate an Action Plan to achieve 100% literacy in the state. He also said that Commitment to study is quite evident in children.

New Railyway line connecting Gadwal and Raichur
Union Minister of State for Railways, Bandaru Dattatreya laid the foundation-stone for a railway line connecting Gadwal in Mahabubnagar district to Raichur in Karnataka. Addressing the gathering, the minister said that a sum of Rs. 10 crores would be spent on the line by using the surplus funds of the South Central Railway.

Ministers Sri Vijayarama Rao and Mr. Srinuvasa Yadav took part in the concluding program of Chaduvula Panduga at Gun Foundry in Hyderabad. The Ministers said that the Government is considering conversion of Bridge school into Residential schools.

BJP leaders Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya said that Congress is responsible for cancellation of petrol bunks and that it is Congress supported dealers who were the most to have got their Pertrol Bunk licenses cancelled.

Warm Welcome for Chandrababu Naidu in Malaysia
Chief Minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu has a warm welcome at the Kaulalampur International Airport by the Indian High Commissioner and Malaysian Telugu Society. Later, he presided the meet as Chief Guest in the Indian High-Commissioner Office. He is felicitated by the Malaysian Telugu Society.

Minister for Forests, Mr. Ayyanna Patrudu said that Rs. 650 Crores has been sanctioned by the NABARD to develop 5000 V.S.S in the state. He inaugurated various Development Programmes at Madugula Mandal of Visakhapatnam.

General Motors India appoints Kaun Automobiles as its dealer in the state
The General Motors India GMI has appointed Kun Automobiles of Hyderabad as its new dealer to sell Opel Corsa, Astra, Swing models in the state. Participating in a press meet, Vice-President of GMI Mr. Vinay Dikshit said that they are delivering about 160-170 Corsa cars in a month.

Four died and two others were severely injured when a tree fell on a Lorry at Banagapalli Mandal of Cuddapah district.

The Telugu Desam Party said that the recent "Chaduvula Panduga" programme was a big success in the State. Participating in a Press meet, TDP Spokesman, Mr. N Sivaprasad said that Afternoon-food programme is under consideration of Chief Minister.

MSK Prasad to lead Andhra in the Buchi Babu Cricket Tournament
Wicket Keeper MSK Prasad will lead Andhra Pradesh in the All India Buchibabu Invitation Cricket Tournament next month. According to the Correspondent of The Andhra Cricket Association N Venkatarao, the Andhra Cricket team will face TNCA Presidents XII in the first match.
