Singareni Employees strike comes to an end
The strike by the Employees belonging to some of the major unions came to an end with the Management accepting 11 of the total of 55 of their chief demands. Announcing this to the press, the Director (Personnel) said that the Mangement was always trying its best to solve the problems of its workers and that some of them could not be accepted at this point of time. He said that the strike has resulted in a loss of Rs. 25 Crores.

CM warns people not to employ children
Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu who took part in the Chaduvula Panduga program in Chenchalguda in Hyderabad warned that any one who hires or takes children for their house hold work will be fined as much as 50 times the rates as per the labor law. He said that cases will filed against any one including officials and ministers who indulge in such activity and that they can be dragged to court and prosecuted if required.

Response from Chaduvula Panduga positive - says CM
Chief Minister who was back in Hyderabad after touring various district in the state as a part of the Chaduvula Panduga program said that over 4213 cases till were filed till now who were indulging in child labor and that response for the program was positive. He said that the Government is ready to construct new primary school buildings if required and that over 7.3 Lakhs children joined till date. The target was put at 8 to 8.5 lakhs and the remaining number was expected to be filled within the remaining two days.

CLP Leader Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy demanded for action by the Police Department on the suspects in the recent transfer of food grains in a lorry which was meant for the Food-for-Work program in East Godavari.

Vijayawada police arrested a 11-member inter-state gang involved in cheating people with a set of fake notes. They used to cheat people by putting original notes at the top of a section of notes and putting white papers in between.

DSP in Kurnool said that two Circle Inspectors were suspended for having links with a fake-currency notes team. The suspended CI's were working at Adoni and Two Town Police Stations.

The Airports Authority of India has banned entry of visitors into Domestic and International Terminals of the Hyderabad Airport till August 16. The decision was taken due to security measures.
