MLA's for foreign trip in April / May
About 253 MLA's from the state will be having a foreign tour to countries including Malaysia, Singapore, China, Korea and Thailand. The Government of Andhra Pradesh sponsored tour will be costing Rs. 3.54 Crores. The MLA's will be leaving in batches each consisting of 60 MLA's. The first batch will leave on April 28 while the second and third will be leaving on May 12 and 25 respectively.
Mr. Vijay Goel meets CM
Union Minister of State in Prime Minister Office Mr. Vijay Goel met the Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu as a courtesy call. This 'courtesy call' lasted for over an hour than the scheduled time of 15 minutes and it is believed that discussions on mutual interest were taken.
CLP Leader restates Free power for farmers indeed possible
CLP Leader Sri YS Rajasekhar Reddy said that it is indeed possible to provide free power to the farmer sector and that Congress workers have to be united and be dedicated to the party. He addressed the Party functionaries at Paritala in Krishna district. CWC Member Mr. Pranab Mukharjee, Sri Rosayya and others were also present.
GITAM Dental College building inaugurated
Health Minister Sri N Janardhana Reddy inaugurated the college building of GITAM Dental College in Visakhapatnam. Forest Minister Sri Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, MP Mr. MVVS Murthy and others were present at the function.
The Andhra Pradesh High Court imposed a fine upto Rs. 5000 on Mr. Subba Rao, Special Collector, Srisailam Project and Mr. Lal Singh, Special Deputy Collector, Gadwal for contempt of court.
The Fourth Sessions Judge (Fast Tract Court) convicted three Naxals of the Peoples War Group for lifer. The Naxals were Bairi Ramachandram, Bairi Latchakka and Gaddam Samaiahh.
