Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu paid homage to Sri Babu Jagjeevena Rao at a program held at Nizam College grounds. Ministers Mr. Pushparaj, Mr. Vijayarama Rao, BJLP Leader N Indrasena Reddy and others also paid homage at the function. Speaking at the program, Chief Minister said that the Government will be filling 7000 ST Back log within 3 months time. He asked the Center to announce Bharat Ratna to Sri Babu Jagjeevan Rao. Later Rs. 1.4 Lakhs worth Autos, Computers and other items were distributed. An Exhibition on Women products was organised.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu made a visit to Adilabad district and verified the works taken up under the Food for Work Program. Since the areas was Naxal effected region, Police security was intensified. CM traveled for over 30 kms on road and checked records at select centers. He felt that Adilabad and Visakhapatnam will be good centers for Medicinated plants. CM also inaugurated the lake-cleaning program and distributed land deeds to Girijan people who were living in the area before 1980.
Minister Sri K Vidyadhar Rao presented the OHSAS - 180001 Certificate to Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Speaking at the function, Minister said that Visakhapatnam Steel Plant was back on good production tract and felt it will get its rise.
Former Prime Minister Sri PV Narasimha Rao visited Visakhapatnam on a 2-day visit. He declared open the Dr. Bezawada Gopala Reddy Vignana Bhawanam in Chinamushiriwada in Pendurthy. The Bhawan was constructed with the financial help of former Rajya Sabha Member Dr Yarlagadda Laxmiprasad's constituency funds.
