The 34th Convocation of Dr. N G Ranga Agriculture University was held today in Hyderabad. Governor and Chancellor of the University Dr. Rangarajan presented Doctorates and Degrees to the meritorious students. Director General of ICAR, Mr. Panjab Singh attended as the Chief Guest. He suggested that scientists have to look for effective ways of food storage and see that these Technologies are helpful for the farmers who are now in confusion state as to where to store their produce. He said that IT and Remote Sensing have really helped the farmer.
AP Genco has organised a press meet to tell its status to the public. It said that the production is 2% higher at the Vijayawada Thermal Power Station. It said that the four proposed projects were at the final stages of approval. Of the four projects, two are coal based and the later two are hydel.
