DSC 2002 notification on May 5
Minister for Primary Education Mr. Mandava Venkateswara said that the Government will be releasing a notification inviting applications for DSC 2002 for about 31,200 posts. The notification will be released on 5th May 2002. The Sale of Applications will begin on May 20 and the written examinations will be on June 14,15 and 16. The Postings after counseling sessions will be done on July 15.
SSC Results on 30th April
The Examination results for SSC will be released on 30 April 2002. Students who failed in exams can go to instant exams between May 29 and June 11. The Results of the instant results will be released on July 6 so that the students need not loose an academic year.
Inter board seizes documents of Nalanda, Vikas and other colleges
Documents of Vikas Junior College of Visakhapatnam and Nalanda and Ratnagiri Junior Colleges of Vijayawada were seized by officials of Board of Intermediate for beginning admission process or conducting classes before the official schedule. Sources says that Narayana Junior College, Ratna Academy, Sri Chaitanya Junior College and Pradeepti Junior Colleges were organizing classes for Senior Intermediate courses which was against the Intermediate Board norms.
PCC President Sri M Satyanaryana Rao said that the Andhra Pradesh Congress will be holding a public ballot on the Government's hike on power. They blocked Kakinada Electricity Department DE Office today.
APRJC on May 8
Convener of Exams Ch L Venkateswarlu said that APRJC Admission Examination for the year will be held on May 8, 2002 instead of the earlier announced date of May 5. This was announced because other examinations also were being conducted on the day.
Congress sad at quality power distribution - says TDP
TDP commented seriously at the Congress statement that they can provide free power to farmer and uninterrupted power for towns. Minister Sri K Vijayarama Rao and TDP Secretary Mr. R Prakash Reddy said that Congress was sad at TDP's quality power distribution which was not possible earlier. They said that Power Cuts were not common in town areas.
Dalit women dies in Police lockup
A Dalit woman Mrs Annavarapu Sridevi (20) died in Police lockup by committing suicuide by hanging herself to the grills of the lockup with her saree in Ongole. She was brought to the station under suspicion of her paramount who died on April 21st night.
NABARD approves loan for SMC Project
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development(NABARD) has sanctioned a loan of Rs. 151.19 Crores for the state of Andhra Pradesh for undertaking development works under the Soil and Moisture Conservation (SMC).
President of the Telugu Desam Party Sri N Chandrababu Naidu has announced the list of functionaries including Chairman and Vice-Chairman for Agriculture Market Commitees(AMC).
