CBI checks Siddardha Reddy and Prathyusha houses

CBI began its investigation in regard to the death of Miss Prathusha recently. As a part of this, a 5 member team of the CBI made a thorough check at the residence of Mr Siddardh Reddy and Prathusha houses today.

High Court dismisses writ petition against production of Gutkha and Pan Masala

The Andhra Pradesh High Court dismissed a writ petition filed in regard to stopping of production of Gutkha and Pan Masala in the state. The Court felt that there will be a need to amend in the Constitution and that the decision will be with the Central Government. The Court made some recommendations that the cultivation of tobacco should be decreased in a phased manner and that tobacco farmers should be shown alternatives.

More DSC Posts this year

Government announced that it will be holding DSC Examinations to fill in over 25 thousand teacher posts for various Government schools in the state. The examinations will be conducted and the results for the same will be announced at the earliest to make available the selected candidates for this academic year. The eligibility criteria for SC,ST and BC's also will be simplified.

Hoax bomb call in Howrah-Chennai Mail

Tension prevailed in the Chennai bound Howrah-Chennai No 6003 Mail when an called named Ghosh called up Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner office and said that a person with a bomb was in the train at around 11:30. Police and Railway authorities jumped into swift action and later found the call to be hoax.
