Union Minister Sri Suresh Prabhu meets CM
Union Minster for Power, Sri Suresh Prabhu met with Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu today at Hyderabad. The duo discussed on the various problems pertaining to the power sector in the state. Union Minister said that he was satisfied with the Power reforms of the state and that the same should be implemented in other states. He said that the experiences being gained in Andhra Pradesh, including using Technology for finding Power distribution losses should be implemented at National. He wished the Chief Minister who is celebrating his birthday.
PCC begins Janachaitanya Yatras
Andhra Pradesh Congress Party began Janachaitanya Yatras all over the state today protesting against the hike in power prices. PCC President Sri M Satyanaryana Rao formally launched the Yatra from Kukatpally.
Speaking to a private Television channel, Power Minister Sri Kottapalle Subbaraidu said that there will not be any financial problems if the state goes ahead with uninterrupted power from August.
Andhra Pradesh Housing Board announced that it has recovered over Rs. 101.39 Crores during the financial year 2001-2002 as against to the targeted Rs. 70 crores.
Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu and Governor Sri Ranga Rajan greeted the people on the eve of Sri Rama Navami.
CPI (ML) Janashakti Group announced that it has dismissed the Karimnagar Committee and that Mr. Ranadheer was removed from the party according to a release by the party in Hyderabad.
ACB Authorities arrested two persons when accepting bribe. The two includes a Senior Assistant working at the Health Directorate in Hyderabad while another is Sub Registrar of Mandapalle in Krishna District.
Sri DV Subba Rao was re-elected as the Chairman of Bar Council of India. Mr. Subba Rao won 10 of the 16 votes.
Over 140 houses were guttered and Rs. 14 Lakhs worth property was damaged when a fire broke in Garividi - Devada mandal in Vizianagaram.
6 died when a mini-lorry overturned in Kapileswaram in East Godavari. Over 32 people were injured and were rushed to the hospital.
Senior Congress Leader Sri Rosayya said that lossess of the AP Transco can be easily minimized and that they will prove it if AP Transco was given to the Congress. He spoke at a rally in Masulipatnam inaugurating Janachaitanya Yatra.
CLP(ML) Janashakti Group announced that it was their party that has killed TDP Leader Mr. Masthan Reddy.
The AP State 6th Conference of the Indian Association of Lawyers began at Akella Satyanarayana Hall. Justice BC Jeevan Reddy was present and gave a talk.
