CM inaugurates Ideal Gateway to Chemical World workshop

Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated a 2-day workshop on Ideal Gateway to Chemical World in Hyderabad. Speaking at the program, he said that the Government of Andhra Pradesh was keen and was working towards providing necessary infrastructure to welcome investments. He said that a Mega Chemical Complex will be built in Visakhapatnam-Kakinda Industrial Zone at a cost of Rs. 25,500 Crores investments. FICCI President Mr. RS Lotha was also present at the meet. CM asked Mr. Lotha to see that Hyderabad will host India Chem 2004 Workshop.

Andhra Pradesh makes deal with US Cos in power sector

Andhra Pradesh Government's Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission signed up a pact with US Energy Association and a Pennsylvania based company for monitoring and suggesting in areas of Power Distribution, Billing and Supply. The US based companies made a deal of Rs. 4 Lakh Dollars.

Intermediate results in 2nd week of May

Board of Intermediate Education announced that the results of the recently concluded exams by 2nd Week of May. Mrs Devika Rani, Controller of Examinations said that the valuations will be completed by 30th April.

Naxals kills political leaders

Telugu Yuvatha Leader Mr. V Rayappa Reddy was killed by naxalites today. Karimanagar Police felt that Naxals of the Peoples War Group of Nizamabad were responsible for this murder. Union Minister Mr. Ch Vidyasagara Rao visited the spot and the residence of Mr. Rayappa. He also condemned the murderous act. Meanwhile, Atluri Mastan Reddy of Chejerla mandal was also killed today by the naxals. Police began combing operations in the area.

Activists of CITU and other allied organisations staged a Dharna at the Old Bus Stand oin Cuddapah against the attack in bus crew. They stopped private busses at the old bus stand for over 2 hours.
Two constables of the Nellore police were injured when five miscreants fired at them when prevented of a house burglary with a country-made weapon.
Lions International Director Mr. SP Amar inaugurated Three Dimension Treatment plant at Lions Cancer Treatment Research Center. The equipment was imported from Netherlands.
