Telugu New Year's Day Celebrated

Telugu-speaking people all over the World celebrated the Telugu New Years Day - Ugaadi today. Specially made Ugaadi pachhadi was prepared and taken. Chief Minister and Governor wished the people on the occasion. A Special 'Panchanga Sravanam' program was held at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad in which Chief Minister, Home Minister, Agriculture Minister and other Cabinet minister's, Speaker of Assembly, Leaders of Opposition parties, eminent personalities and others took part in the program. Chief Minister unveiled the Telugu Panchangam compiled by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. Sri Madugula Sharma said that the state will be peaceful and more happier this year.

CM inaugurates Federation Building

Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Federation House constructed by the FAPCCI at Red Hills, Hyderabad. Addressing members of the FAPCCI, Chief Minister appealed the members to market Andhra Pradesh to attract investment and ensure the State achieves the targeted growth of 9 to 10 per cent in Gross state Domestic Product. Commercial Taxes Minister Mr. K Vijayarama Rao and past-president Mr. Mohanlal Gupta also spoke on the occasion. 15 Best performing industries in the state were awarded. Minister Sri Vijaya Bhaskara Rao was also present at the meeting.

'Gyanvani' Channel released

Vice - Chancellor of Andhra University Prof. YC Simhadri launched the transmission of 'Gyanvani' - a radio channel of School of Distance Education, Andhra University. Mr. Mahmod Khan will be the station director of the channel. Director of School of Distance Education Mr. D Harinarayana and Joint Director of IGNOU Mr. Ravi Kanth were present at the programme.

The Cremation of Communist and founder of Peoples War Group Sri Seetaramayya was held today in Vijayawada. His supporters and well wishers took part in the program.
The pre-EAMCET exams conducted by the ABVP organisation on April 10 were released. Candidates who appeared for the exams can get results from the ABVP office or on telephone No. 7615292.
The Indian Consumer Exhibition-2002 was inaugurated by Mr. Yvo Metzelaar, Deputy MD and President of ING Vysya Life Insurance Company at Hyderabad.
