A Circle Inspector and five other policemen were arrested for surreptitiously burning the body of a person who committed suicide in Medak District. The person Mr. Pandi Yadagiti was brought to the station for an investigation. He was found hanging to death in the bathroom later.
The Warangal Police arrested seven persons including Mr. Konda Murali - husband of Congress-1 Legislator Mrs. Konda Surekha in connection with the killing of Telugu Yuvatha Warangal District President Mr. K Pratap Reddy.
The State Government announced that it will be procuring 30 Lakh tones of rice and 15 lakh tones of paddy during the Rabi season. It was also decided that the Gruha Mithra program will be implemented in the entire state starting this Ugaadi.
The APCC President announced the formation of a 9-member committee to suggest and monitor the 'Jana Chaitanya Yatra', 'Ballot on Power Hike' and other programs with which the Congress Party is expected to meet the people in the entire state to listen to their intensions.
Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu who visited Mahabubnagar said that the Neeru - Meeru program is the only way to solve the drought situation in the district.
Forest Minister Sri Ch Ayyannapatrudu flagged off the HP Gas Seva Kendram - a part of the Mobile Service Center by HPCL in Visakhapatnam. This service is expected to educate the customers of HPCL - particularly those of the Deepam pathakam and educated them of good gas habits.
