Rs. 55 Crores for drinking water in state

Minister for Information and Public Relations Mr. S Chandramohan Reddy said that the Government has released Rs. 55 Crores towards Drinking water needs of the people in the state.

73 Congress members to Delhi to attend AICC Meet

PCC President Sri M Satyanrayana Rao said that as many as 73 Congress Members from the state are leaving to Delhi to attend a meeting convened by AICC President Ms. Sonia Gandhi in regard to their functionality in non-Congress ruled states.

CPI demands reduction of Passport Application Fee by Rs. 500

The CPI Hyderabad City Council picketed the Hyderabad Regional Passport Office protesting against the hike in the cost of passport application fee by 3 folds from Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000. A Team of members later submitted a memorandum to the Regional Passport Officer asking for a reduction atleast by Rs. 500.

Four of the Six Ferro Alloy factories in the state will be closed and stopping their production from April 1, 2002 while another unit will be closing from Tuesday. This situation arrived because of the hike of the power prices in the state that these units will have to face a burden of Rs. 4000 per ton production of alloy.
Home Minister Sri T Devendar Goud said that TDP gained popularity and won the confidence of the people in the state. He addressed a gathering of TDP Party functionaries from Kurnool, Mahabubnagar and Nalgonda at a meeting held at NTR Trust Bhawan in Hyderbad.
