Political Party meetings in religious centers banned
CM monitors 2nd day of Janmabhoomi programme
Chief Minister Sri. Chandrababu Naidu monitored various development activities as a part of the Janmabhoomi programme in Telangana region. He said that the Government will concentrate on villages in the city out strikes and that they will never bow before naxals. He accepted comments and complaints on various Government programmes and said that any official or employee who fails to do his duties will be suspended.

Political Party meetings in religious centers banned
Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, Mr. P Ramulu said that Political parties should not hold their meetings in religious centers in the twin cities. He took part in All-Party meeting that discussed on the election arrangements for the upcoming Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad elections. He said that 3000 additional police forces were deployed to see that the elections are conducted smoothly.

Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu said that the Government will be providing e-mail facilities to 1.6 Crores people in the rural areas of the state as a part of the e-Governance policy. He inaugurated a 3-day Silver Jubliee Celebrations of the All-India Police Radio Officers at Hyderabad. The Postal Department has launched "SpeedNet" service which allows customers of Speed Mail to track their articles delivery via the internet. The Chief Post Master General of AP Circle, Mr. N D Dayal launched the service in Hyderabad.

Two persons were murdered while 3 women were injured when a rival group attacked a car in which they were traveling with bombs in Cuddapah district. Incidentally the murdered belongs to the Telugu Desam Party.

The Visakhapatnam Port Trust has topped the Indian Ports list with highest throughput of 33.9 million tonnes during April - December 2001. The other slots were taken by Kandla and Chennai ports.
