Village Secretariat System inaugurated by CM
Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated Village Secretariat System - 'Grama Sachivalayam' in the state. He launched this system from Adloor village in Nizamabad district. Panchayat Raj Minister Mr. P Srinuvas Reddy, School Education Minister Mr. Mandava Venkateswara Rao and others were present at the inauguration.

The Deputy Inspector General of the Central Bureau of Investigation said that it dealt with 70 new cases during 2001 at its Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam branches.

New courses at CDE, University of Hyderabad
The Center for Distance Education of the University of Hyderabad launched an array of Diploma programmes including PGDCS, PGDPM, PGDEM, PGDTSH, PGDHR, PGDTVP and PGDLAN.
