Record success rate in SSC Exams
Minister for Education Sri Mandava Venkateswara Rao released the results. Percentage wise, this year reported high pass rate by 2.78% over last year. This numbers to 5.71 Lakh students who passed the exams. 514 Government run schools reported 100% success rate while 46 school reported 0% percent success rate. Boys took over Girls in terms of passing. As many as 4,18,774 regular students and 1,51,466 private students passed this years exam. Another notable thing is that almost all subject papers were set by teacher who teach their respective subject and that the question papers were error free. A half mark mark was added to English paper.

Andhra Pradesh SSC Exam Results were announced and are available at IndiaStudyCenter.com. The success rate for this year SSC Result is about 66.87%. Advanced supplementary exams for those whose who failed in the examinations will be held on May 29. Warangal stood first in the pass rate while Nizamabad came last. Srikakulam reported a pass percentage of 64.8% in SSC Examinations while Vizianagaram reported 66.25%.
Sri Swaminathan is new Chief Secretary of State
Mr. K Swaminathan took over as the new Chief Secretary of State. Earlier, he held the post of Chief Commissioner of Land Administration. He took succeeds Mr. PV Rao who retired on retirement age.
Pension for handloom workers aged over 50
Minister Sri Bhumanna said that the Government has decided to hike the pension for Handloom workers over age of 50 years to Rs. 250 a month. A new survey will be taken to make a list of eligible handloom workers. This hike is taken into account on the recommendations by a Sub-Committee set up to study on the topic. The earlier announced Widow pensions will be continued and that special medical assistance by organizing camps will be provided to handloom workers. Minister felt that Opposition parties were politicizing the death of farmers and that the situation remained the same even in Congress ruled districts.
Naxals create panic
Naxals of Peoples War Group killed Mr. L Dharma who was a former Naxal member at Challuru in in Vizianagaram district. Mr. Dharma recently changed his residence from Visakhapatnam to Vizianagaram. Naxals also created havoc by throwing bombs and setting fire to tractors with the help of some Naxal-supporters in Guntur district.
Home Minister inaugurates AP's first Digital Theater
Home and Cinematography Minister Sri T Devendar Goud inaugurated Andhra Pradesh's first Digital Electronic Theater being setup by Prathina Net Entertainment. This facility will reduce the cost of prints and that films in various theaters can be controlled from a single control center using Optical fiber lines.
Hostlers demand continuing hostel rooms at OU
Students and Hostlers of Osmania University staged a rastha rokho at the main entrance of the University demanding the University to continue to provide hostel rooms which were to be vacated from tomorrow. They asked the University officials to look into the interests of the students since many of them were appearing for B.Ed and DSE Examinations.
TDP Polit Bureau members met today morning to discuss on its course of action at the Parliament on Gujarat issue. The meeting which was held at the residence of Chief Minister decided to decide on its action only after the Prime Minister's speech.
APCC Spokesman Sri Rosayya said that the State Congress will be supporting the Government in making sure that communal harmony is maintained. He felt that Narendra Modi Government in Gujarat should be stepped down in view of the high intense clashes in the area.
A High Level Convention on India and International Trade and New Exim Policy was held at Hyderabad today. The Convention was sponsored by Andhra Bank.
